Summit Church

Serving Christ by Serving Madison County
Time & LocationReopening Update
We are open for Sunday Service - Click for details
In order to keep attendance numbers within the boundaries outlined by our local government [50% capacity], Sunday Service will be held at our regular service time, 11:15 am, and will be about an hour in length.  We will live stream the service for anyone wishing to remain at home.  Even if you miss the live service, the weekend worship service is posted on Facebook and our website.

Below are the policies we are following as we reopen:

We can allow upward to 150 people in the worship service – we will have plenty of room.  Start inviting! This includes children & infants, but does not include staff & volunteers, according to regulations.

We will practice social distancing at all times. Avoid handshakes, hugs, and any other physical contact with others who aren’t attending church with your family/group. Sport your smiles and air hugs!

Anyone that lives-in or is in contact with those that are vulnerable should consider that before attending. Caring for those that you care for regularly may require you to remain home for their good.

Our policy on masks: Masks are required at all times.  When entering the building, please be courteous and wear a mask at all times. If you do not have a mask, or forget one, we’d be happy to provide one for you! This pertains to exiting the building as well. Due to the latest mandates within NYS, which you can view HERE, please keep your mask on while singing in participation with our worship. When you are seated, and not singing, please continue to keep your mask on, in compliance with local guidelines, which you can view HERE

No childcare or Summit Kids. Kids are required to sit with their parents/family and must be under their direct supervision at all times. Fun and interactive teaching moments will take place within the worship experience!

Nursing Mothers Room will remain open. Please contact a greeter or Summit Church staff person who will direct you to our office area.

Only Sunday morning gatherings and Tuesday morning Women’s “She” Group will be scheduled in the building.  All life groups and scheduled events will continue through zoom and online platforms until further notice.

Below are the procedures we are following as we reopen:

All surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected prior to and following all services. This includes, but is not limited to, doorways/knobs/handles, bathrooms, worship center, and lobby area.

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the worship experience. Please limit “gathering” for fellowship to outdoors, practicing social distancing at all times.

Seating arrangements will accommodate physical distancing regulations. Once you enter the building, greeters and ushers will guide you into the auditorium and lead you to the section of seats that will accommodate your family. Seats will be set up with your family in mind, allowing space for you to place your personal belongings and remain spaced apart from other groups.

Fellowship Hall, kitchen, and classrooms will be off-limits, with the exception of the nursing mothers’ room, in order to minimize the time it takes to clean as well as being good stewards of our cleaning supplies.

Touchless hand sanitizer stations will be available at the entrances to the building and the worship center

Greeters will open doors for others so that our church family doesn’t need to touch those surfaces. All indoor volunteers will wear masks while serving you during entry and exit.

No coffee or snacks will be provided at our services until further notice.

Those speaking or leading music from the stage will not be wearing a mask. There is enough distance between our seats and the stage to safely accomplish this.

No offering baskets will be passed around during worship.  A secure offering box will be located in the back of the worship center for those that prefer traditional giving over giving online. Feel free to put your offering in this receptacle as you exit the service. Additionally,

  • You can securely Text to Give
  • Text “@summit Give [your dollar amount]” to 52014 (Example “@summit Give 25”)

The Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally inspired, so that it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration, so that it is a Divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.

God is the absolute and sole Creator of the Universe and that creation was by Divine action, not through evolutionary process. The Godhead exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – that these three are one God. God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.

Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man; that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, in which He taught and performed mighty works and wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the four gospels; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was bodily raised from the dead on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers and from where He is coming again, personally, bodily and visibly to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom.

Through His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a sacrifice for sin. Men are therefore saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood.
